UK Most Wanted Fugitives In Cyprus
The National Crime Agency and Crimestoppers have launched a new search to find eleven of the UK's most-wanted fugitives reported to be in Cyprus, publishing a list of mugshots.
Some of the criminals are wanted for crimes as rape, drug dealing, voyeurism, fraud holiday fraud and tax evasion.
It is believed that they are hiding in Cyprus because of the large British community of the island.
Is the second time that the appeal, called Operation Zygos, has been run, after four suspects wanted for crimes such as child sex offences and a hit-and-run were captured in the first part of the operation in 2012.
The new names being sought are Jeffrey Bloor, Richard Ardolino, Osman Aydeniz, Ozgur Demir, Ersin Mustafa, and Christakis Philippou joint to Hasan Akarcay, Timur Mehmet, Costas Sampson, Mehmet Salih, and Martin Evans who are still being sought after the 2012 appeal.
