Man Dies After Completing London Marathon
A 42-year-old man has collapsed and died after completing the London Marathon.
According to the organisers, the man received immediate medical attention when he completed Sunday's marathon. He is thought to have collapsed at the finish line.
He died a short time later in hospital.
A statement from the race sponsors, Virgin Money, said: "The organisers of the Virgin Money London Marathon would like to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased."
The man's death comes two years after Claire Squires (30) collapsed and died of cardiac failure during the final stretch of the 26.2-mile course.
The identity of the man has not yet been released.

Competitor dies after London Marathon
A 22-year-old man who fell ill after completing the London Marathon has died, race organisers have confirmed. It is understood that the man, who has not been named, died in hospital after successfully completing the 26-mile course. Organisers have offered their "deepest sympathy and condolences" to the man's family and friends.

A 30-year-old woman has become the 10th London Marathon runner to die since the event began in 1981. Yet to be formally identified, the runner collapsed close to the finish line, and paramedic’s attended to her, but she died at the scene near Birdcage Walk.

Six Arrested Over Nottingham Street Brawl Death
Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Nottingham have arrested six people. Joshua Bradley, of Bulwell, died following a suspected street fight in Thurland Street, on 08 February. Two men, aged 21 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Marathon runner 'died from drinking too much water'
The 22-year-old man who collapsed and died after completing the London Marathon at the weekend is believed to have died from drinking too much water. The cause of fitness instructor David Rogers' death has not yet been confirmed, but it is thought that he was suffering from hyponatraemia - an overdilution of sodium in the blood plasma.

Two further terror training suspects remanded
Two further men have been remanded in custody following their arrest on Thursday on terror training charges. Mohamed Hamid, aged 48, of Clapton, east London, faces charges of soliciting murder and providing terror training. The second man, Kibley Da Costa, aged 23, of West Norwood, south-east London, is charged with terror training offences.
