Birmingham City Council Investigate School Take Over Allegations
An investigation has been launched into an alleged takeover plot of Birmingham schools by hard-line Islamists.
It is understood that the investigation is now looking at 25 schools in relation to the allegations, with Birmingham City Council saying that they have received more than 200 reports relating to the investigation.
The allegations related to anonymous claims that hard-line Muslims have been trying to take over the running of some of the city's schools. The claims were made in a letter sent to the council last year.
Former head teacher Ian Kershaw has been appointed as chief adviser by the council.
