Bells To Rings Across Merseyside For 25th Anniversary Of Hillsborough
Bells across Merseyside are to be rung today to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.
The bells of Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool Town Hall and churches in Merseyside will ring 96 times at exactly 15:06, to mark the moment Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final at the Sheffield ground was halted on 15 April 1989 after a crush that led to the deaths of 96 fans.
A commemorative event is to held at Liverpool's ground this afternoon, where 96 seats will be left empty, draped in scarfs.

A one minute silence is to be observed in Liverpool at 15:06 to mark the 26th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. Bells will also toll across the city 96 times, in memory of the 96 people who died at the 1989 FA Cup semi-final at the Hillsborough stadium.

Six Men Jailed After Whiskey And Chocolate Theft
Six men have been sentenced after lorries carrying whiskey and chocolate were stolen in Kent during April 2013. The thefts occurred in the Dover area. Police said high value whiskey with a retail price of £23,000 was stolen from the trailer of a lorry parked in a haulage yard in Lyndden.

More Talks Due In Postal Dispute
