Children Mass Sickness On A Flight To London

Sixty children aged between 10 and 14 have fallen ill while on a flight from Dubai to London.

The children, members of a choir, were treated by paramedics on the runway when their Emirates Airbus A380 landed at Heathrow airport.

Some of the youngsters began feeling poorly after taking off from Dubai and a number of them started vomiting and suffering diarrhoea during the flight.

Four ambulances, a rapid response bike and a hazardous materials unit met the plane but although most of the children were treated on the runway, 11 of them were taken to Hillingdon hospital in west London, and later discharged.

The group had performed as part of the 64-strong Only Kids Aloud children's choir.

A Emirates spokesman said they are “working closely with the local authorities to investigate the issue”.

River Island Boycott Due Sexist Anti-Nagging Product

River Island removed a product from it website, which encouraged men to “gag” nagging women, after Twitter users threatened to boycott the store.

The item was a football on a string named the 'Domestic Anti Nag Gag', which appeared gagging a woman's open mouth with the caption: "Will you put a sock in it!!!"

The product, costing £4, was also surrounded by speech bubbles of sexist phrases.
