'Skull Cracker' In Custody In London
Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.
At 2pm on today two men, aged 55 and 53, were arrested in the Tower Hamlets area and are now in police custody in connection with an incident in Sunbury-on-Thames. The 55 year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being unlawfully at large.
DCI Ann Lisseman from Kent Police said: "We are no longer looking for Michael Wheatley. We would like to thank our colleagues at the Metropolitan Police Service, Surrey Police, and the public for their assistance with our enquiries."

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

UK sends policing advisors to assist in Iraq
Policing experts are traveling to Iraq today to advise on the stabilisation of the security situation and to participate in a review on how to rebuild the Iraqi police service. The team of four will be led by Chief Constable of Hampshire - and Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) international portfolio holder - Paul Kernaghan.
