Henmania ends as 'Tiger Tim' is beaten
The British number 1 has been dumped out of Wimbledon this afternoon by the same player who knocked him out of Queen's tournament last month.
Sebastian Grosjean swept the challenge of Tim Henman aside in four sets this afternoon in a match that was beset by rain delays.
Grosjean's 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory will see him move into the semi-final to meet the in-form Australian Mark Philipoussis who overcame Alexander Popp.
For Henman, well-supported again by the centre court crowd, there was disappointment after a game in which he again struggled to maintain consistency of play.
This was Henman's second quarter-final exit and his seventh appearance in the latter stages of the tournament in eight years. But at 28 he has the consolation of knowing that there will be further chances to have a crack at winning the Wimbledon tournament for Britain.
