UK Flights Affected By Air Traffic Control Strike
A number of flights in Britain have been disrupted as a result of an air traffic controllers' strike in France.
Major delays have occurred at airports, while other flights have been cancelled.
It is the first day of industrial action which is being staged in protest against budget cuts.
Among the airlines affected, were British Airways, Easyjet, FlyBe and Ryanair.
Ryanair said it had cancelled 96 flights on Tuesday, while Easyjet cancelled 28 flights although none of these have affects flights in the UK. Four British Airways flights to French airports were cancelled, and FlyBe issued a statement saying it would have to cancel a number of its flights.
No delays were reported at Heathrow.

Once again, thousands of air passengers have been facing disruption to flights as ash cloud from the erupting volcano in Iceland caused more cancellations. Spain closed 19 of its airports on Saturday as the cloud of ash from the Icelandic volcano drifted south over western Europe.
