Queen Names UK's Newest And Biggest Royal Navy Aircraft
The Queen has named the UK's new Royal Navy Aircraft at a ceremony in Fife's Rosyth.
The vessel is the most powerful aircraft carrier ever built for a British fleet.
First Sea Lord Admiral George Zambellas said in his speech: "HMS Queen Elizabeth will be a national instrument of power and a national symbol of authority, she will be a national icon too, all the while keeping the great in Great Britain and the royal in Royal Navy".
David Cameron also pointed it was a "very proud day" for Scotland and the UK.
The estimated cost of the vessel and its sister ship is £6.2bn.

Afghanistan Death Confirmed
It has been confirmed that a soldier from 40 Commando Royal Marines has been killed in an explosion in Afghanistan. It happened on Wednesday, with one other marine also injured in the incident, and since described as "walking wounded".

Iraq helicopter crash was 'accident'
A crash between two Royal Navy helicopters at the beginning of the Iraq war was an accident, a coroner has ruled. Seven men were killed when the two Sea King helicopters crashed into each other on March 22, 2003. One of the helicopters was returning to HMS Ark Royal, while the other was leaving the ship when the accident happened.
