83-Year-Old British Cycling Pioneer Hit By Car

A British cycling legend is being treated in hospital after being knocked off his bike near his home in West Yorkshire.

83-year-old Brian Robinson became the first British rider to finish the Tour de France in 1955, and the first to win a Tour stage in 1958.

Mr Robinson was hit by a car while riding with friends in Thornhill Lees on Wednesday.

It is understood that he is being treated for a suspected broken collar bone.

Snoop Dogg and P Diddy cancel British tour dates
US rap stars Snoop Dogg and P Diddy have been forced to cancel the British leg of their joint European tour after Snoop Dogg was denied a visa. The pair were due to play shows in London, Cardiff, Manchester, Nottingham and Glasgow as part of the One Love Peace Tour but Snoop - real name Calvin Broadus - had his application for a visa turned down.

Shrien Dewani Trial Begins
British businessman Shrien Dewani has pleaded not guilt to charges of murdering his wife on honeymoon in Cape Town in November 2010. At the trial, which started today, Dewani also admitted that he is bisexual.
