Urgent Appeal For Missing Children
Police are urgently appealing for sightings of two children who have gone missing from Wright Road, Washwood Heath this afternoon.
The girl, aged 11 is believed to have been pushing the boy, aged four, in a black and red four-wheeled pushchair.
Both children have been gone since midday on Wednesday.
The girl is described as 5ft tall with long dark hair in a bun.
Man Charged After Serious Fail To Stop Collision
A man has been charged after a serious fail to stop collision in Bolton.
Martyn Jones, of Cameron Street, Leigh, has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court and was remanded into custody to next appear before Bolton Crown Court on 8 August 2014.
It follows a collision between a 37-year-old pedestrian and a blue Vauxhall Astra on Wigan Road, Deane, Bolton, at about 11.40am on Friday 18th July.
The pedestrian, a man, remains in a serious condition in hospital having sustained a head injury.
Work Begins To Reduce Congestion At A5 Churchbridge Junction
Work is underway to improve safety and reduce congestion at the A5 Churchbridge junction with the M6 Toll in Cannock.
The Highways Agency will be realigning the approaches to the junction as well as the junction itself to increase its capacity. There will be additional traffic lights at approaches and pedestrian and cycling facilities will also be improved.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was seriously injured in a collision in Bolton on Tuesday night. A silver Toyota Avensis car collided with the woman, 78, on Thicketford Road. She is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0161 856 4745.

Child Cyclist Injured In Midlands Road Collision
A young boy remains in a serious condition in hospital after being involved in a road traffic incident in the West Midlands yesterday. The 11-year-old was injured following a collision with a car in Wolverhampton. The boy was cycling close to a busy main road in Oldbury at the time.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By A Lorry On M3
A woman has been killed while walking along the side of a motorway in Surrey. The woman, who has not yet been named, was struck by a lorry just after midnight on the M3 at Lightwater, near junction three. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood that police found a vehicle parked nearby, which is thought to have belonged to the woman.

Man Bailed Over Manchester Murder
A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder after a disturbance in Manchester city centre has been bailed pending further inquiries. Zhen Asghar, 18, of Mallowdale Crescent, Bolton, suffered stab wounds at a flat near the Printworks on Monday 21 September 2009. He died as a result of his injuries on Wednesday 23 September.

Four arrested in car crash murder investigation
Four people have been arrested in Reading following the discovery of a man found dead in a car which had collided with a tree. Three men aged 23, 27 and 42 and a woman aged 44 are currently being held in custody at Reading police station.
