25-Year-Old Woman Raped In Chichester
Police are investigating the rape of a 25-year-old woman in Chichester on Saturday night.
The woman was assaulted in an alleyway connecting East Street and the Little London car park, near to the Ox Market.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in that area between 10pm and midnight on Saturday.
They would like to talk to a man and woman walking this route between those times.
A 32-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and released on bail until 9 October while enquiries continue.
Sinn Féin Office Attacked In L'Derry
A Sinn Féin office in Co L'derry has been partially damaged in a suspected arson attack.
The incident happened at the premises on Eastway Road in the Creggan area shortly before midnight.
It is thought a rear window to the property was broken and a flammable liquid was poured in. The fire service attended the scene and the fire was brought under control, with the damage confined to one part of the building.
Police have launched an investigation into the blaze.
Condemning the attack, Sinn Féin assembly member Raymond McCartney, said it was "an attack the democratic process."
He added: "It will not stop us working or the people of Derry. It will be business as usual for Derry Sinn Féin, continuing to serve the people of the city an the wider north west."
Man Stabbed In Rochdale
A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Rochdale.
Officers were called to a house on Dunstable, Lower Falinge in Rochdale shortly before 6am on Sunday 27 July 2014 to reports a man had been stabbed.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his chest and arm. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A white Vauxhall Insignia, registration FN12 PYL, was seen to leave the area shortly afterwards.
As part of the investigation a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of assault. The woman, aged 32, has been bailed pending further enquiries and the man, aged 42, has subsequently been charged with Section 18 assault.
Detective Inspector James Faulkner said: "I would like to give the community some reassurance that we believe this was targeted and it was not a random attack, nevertheless, there will be an increased police presence in the area while officers carry out their enquiries.
"We have made two arrests but we are keen to establish the full circumstances of the attack and in particular the movements of a white Vauxhall Insignia in the hours before and after the incident.
"If anyone was up and about early on Sunday morning I would ask that they think back and get in touch if they remember seeing the vehicle or any suspicious activity in the area."

CCTV Images Aid Assault Appeal
A man in his 60s is critically ill in a London hospital after what is believed to have been a homophobic assault. Aberdeen assaults 'could be linked'
Assaults on two women in Aberdeen could be linked, police have warned. An 18-year-old woman was attacked in Lord Hay's Grove, near Don Street, around 11:45pm on Monday night. Grampian Police have now said that the incident could be linked to an earlier assault on a 20-year-old woman in Don Street.
