60 Jobs To Go At Cardiff Insurance Company
A Cardiff-based insurance and investment firm has announced that it will cut 60 jobs.
Legal & General have said that the jobs are likely to be cut from its annuities department in Cardiff, and that the decision follows pension reforms announced in Chancellor George Osborne's Budget.
A formal consultation between staff and management is understood to be underway with unions being consulted over the planned cuts.

Barclays Announce 7,000 UK Job Cuts
Barclays Bank have announced plans to cut up to 12,000 jobs, including 7,000 in the UK. Around half of the staff to be affected by the cuts have been informed, the bank have said. The new round of cuts follow 7,650 job loses last year, with the bank saying that 820 senior managers will be cut along with 220 managing directors and 600 directors.

Steel Plant To Cut Up To 500 Jobs
Tata Steel are to cut up to 500 jobs from their plants in Scunthorpe, Workington and Teesside, the company has announced. Announcing the cuts, the company said that management and administrative roles would be affected. With 340 jobs in Scunthorpe at risk, along with 90 in Workington and 40 in Teesside.

ITV To Cut 600 Jobs After Massive Losses Announced
Broadcaster ITV is to cut 600 jobs as it has announced pre-tax losses of £2.73 billion for the year. Britain's biggest commercial broadcaster is to cut around 500 jobs in Leeds with the closure of its Kirkstall Road studios, which makes programmes such as Heartbeat and The Royal.
