Police Investigate Theft Of 17th Century Coins
Police are investigating the theft of seven historic coins from a village in Norfolk.
The 17th century coins, including two Henry VIII sovereigns and a 1692 William and Mary five guinea, are estimated to be worth £160,000.
They were stolen from a home in Swanton Morley.
Police say that a man visiting to the house to buy a coin that had been advertised, made off with all seven when the owner was distracted by a phone call.
Team Scotland To Parade Through Glasgow
Team Scotland athletes will parade through Glasgow city centre today to celebrate Scotland's best Commonwealth Games medal haul.
The 310-strong team will travel in seven vehicles from Kelvingrove Art Gallery to a finale in George Square, taking in Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street along the way.
Man Dies On Festival Site In 'Fork-Lift Incident'
An investigation has been launched following the death of a man helping prepare for a music festival in Gloucestershire.
Police say that a 33-year-old man has died "in an incident involving a fork-lift" while working at the Surround Festival Sallywood Farm, Horsley, on Thursday.
The incident is being treated as an industrial accident and investigated jointly by police, Stroud District Council and the Health and Safety Executive.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.
