Police Stop Wrong Way Motorway Driver With Head-On Collision
A police patrol car crashed head-on into a car travelling the wrong way along a motorway.
West Midlands Police say that a Honda Jazz car was reported to be driving at 50mph the wrong way on the A38 near Sutton Coldfield, at about 21:50 on Tuesday.
The car was being driven a 77-year-old man with dementia, who had been reported missing from his home.
One police office suffered a minor injury in the collision but the elderly driver escaped uninjured.

Woman Arrested In Connection With Daughters Death In Road Accident
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a road accident which killed her two-year-old daughter. Police have said that the woman was driving a car which left the road and hit a tree on Gibbins Road, Selly Oak, at about 16:00 on Thursday.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. Two men, aged 28 and 25, were arrested in the Paisley area, west of Glasgow on Sunday night Five people are still being held in connection with the attacks, but it is believed that at least one suspect remains on the run.

A teenage cyclist has been seriously injured after he was involved in a collision with a police car that was responding to an emergency call. The collision occurred around 10:10pm on December 5 at the junction of Talbot Avenue and Oban Road in the Winton area of Bournemouth.

Six people are being treated in hospital after a three car collision in Greater Manchester. It is understood that one of the cars involved in the incident crashed into the bay window of a house on Bury New Road in the Whitefield area at about 21:15 on Tuesday night.
