Tube Drivers Strike Over 'Bullying Culture'
Aslef union members that work on London Underground's Central Line are involved in a 24-hour work stoppage, which started at 00:01 on Friday (22 August).
The industrial action has caused major disruptions and severe delays across the service, with no trains running between White City and Leytonstone and no service on the Waterloo and City line.
Transport for London provided additional buses to try and ease the disruption, with a number of ambassadors and volunteers on hand to provide information.
It is understood that the drivers are protesting over the work environment and what the union described as a "bullying culture".

Plans Announced To Make Young People Work For Benefits
The Prime Minister has announced a proposal for 18 to 21-year-olds claiming benefits to do daily work experience. The proposed reform, known as Community Work Programme, would see young people not in work, education or training, required to complete daily work experience, alongside continuing to look for work in order to qualify for benefits.

170 People Stuck On London Underground
About 170 people have been stuck in a tunnel on a tube on the London Underground. The passengers were left stranded after a Central Line train hit an object on the track. The hold-up happened between Holland Park and Shepherd's Bush.

The Government today set out details of its offer to workers on public service pensions. This new offer will mean that while most workers will still have to work longer and pay more, the pension that most low and middle earners working a full career will receive pension benefits at least as good, if not better, than they get now.

Alice Gross Police Appeal For Missing 41-Year-Old Builder
Police investigating the disappearance of 14-year-old Alice Gross have issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of 41-year-old Arnis Zalkalns. Police say that Mr Zalkalns, a builder from Ealing, west London, has not been seen since 03 September.
