Boy Killed By Bin Lorry While Using Zebra Crossing
A 12-year-old boy has died after being hit by a skip lorry in Devon.
It is understood that the boy was struck by the lorry at about 15:10 on Thursday on Topsham Road near Countess Wear.
The boy is understood to have using a zebra crossing when he was hit by the bin lorry.
He received medical treatment by a passer-by before paramedics arrived.
He was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he died a short time later.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to the accident to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

Nationwide appeal launched following death smash
A nationwide hunt has been launched for the driver of a lorry involved in a hit-and-run incident in which a young boy died. Ten-year-old Harry Luke Simcox, from the Milton Keynes area, died after the lorry struck the Peugeot he was travelling in on the A303 near Thruxton shortly before 2pm on August 31.

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.

An investigation has been launched after a three-year-old boy died when he fell into a garden pond. Ethan Read, from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, died in spite of his mother's attempts to revive him before the ambulance arrived. The incident happened at an address in Coney Weston. The death is being treated as unexplained.

It is understood that the female pedestrian was standing next to the lights when a lorry left the road and collided with them. The lights then fell and hit the woman.
