IPCC Confirm Four Officers Facing Investigation Related To Savile Case
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) have said that four officers with Sussex police are being investigated in connection with the Jimmy Savile case.
It is understood that a detective sergeant and detective constable are to be investigated for gross misconduct in relation to their handling of an allegation of indecent assault made by a female against Savile.
The officers could lose their jobs if a case is found against them.
And two senior officers with Sussex Police, a detective chief inspector and a detective inspector, are also to be investigated for misconduct for their part in a 2008 investigation.
None of the four officers has been named by the IPCC.
