PM In New York For UN Meeting On IS
The Prime Minister is in New York for a meeting of the UN General Assembly, to find out "what more the UK can do to contribute" in the efforts to confront Islamic State militants.
Downing Street has said that David Cameron supports the latest air strikes launched by the US and five other Gulf and Middle East countries.
It is understood that Parliament could be recalled by Friday if Labour and Lib Dems offer their support for UK military action.

Proposals for 700 new homes and large chain supermarket and petrol station are set to be given the go ahead despite concerns of the impact it could have on local businesses. The Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire development has been recommended for approval ahead of a local council meeting later today.

Rescue operation scaled down in devastated Baghdad UN HQ
The search for people trapped alive in the devastated Baghdad headquarters of the UN is being scaled down following yesterday afternoon's bomb attack. The latest casualty figures for those killed stands at 17 and 100 people injured in the blast that ripped through the hotel building collapsing part of the structure.
