Lib Dems To Discuss Airport Expansions Following Amendment
Two Liberal Democrat MPs are understood to have tabled an amendment that would allow for the expansion of Gatwick Airport.
The party has to date opposed airport expansion, but it is understood that Lib Dem leadership are supporting the new amendment, which would see Gatwick becoming exempt from restrictions.
The party is expected to discuss the issue today (Tuesday) at its party conference in Glasgow.
