Teenager Jailed For Nine Years For Shooting Girlfriend
A 15-year-old boy who killed his girlfriend has been detained for nine years.
Shereka Fab-Ann Marsh, 15, was shot in the neck by a single bullet from a counterfeit 1930s Italian Beretta pistol in Hackney, in March.
The schoolboy was found guilty by an Old Bailey of manslaughter and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
When arrested he told the police that it was an accident and insisted that he had no reason to hurt her.
He admitted that he had been standing in front of her waving it, but did not think it was loaded.

Thomas Cook Chief Executive Apologises Over Corfu Deaths
The Chief Executive of Thomas Cook has apologised to the family of two children who died from carbon monoxide in Corfu. Mr Peter Frankhauser said the firm "failed to show compassion". Speaking to the BBC, Mr Frankhauser said: "First I want to say that I am deeply sorry about the tragic death of Bobby and Christi Shepherd in 2006.

7/7 Memorial Damaged By Vandals
The memorial in Hyde Park to the victims of the 7/7 attacks has been deface with graffiti, on the eve of the anniversary. Phrases were painted onto several of the pillars in red and black paint. Today marks nine years since the bombing attacks in London.

Crime Boss Gets Extra Nine Years In Prison
A convicted VAT fraudster will now have to serve an extra nine years in jail for failing to repay £40 million of his criminal profits, following a confiscation order secured last month. Emmanuel Hening, a dual French/Belgian national, still owes the money and criminal investigators from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) are actively pursuing its return.
