Landfill Site Closed Over Smell Of Waste
The Environment Agency has confirmed that a landfill site has been shut down after nearby residents complained about the smell.
It is understood that Dorket Head in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, has been closed after residents complained that the smell from the site was keeping them awake at night.
The Environment Agency said that the site stopped accepting waste in September and since work has focused on capping the landfill. Only soil and other restoration materials are being accepted at the site, which are being used to tidy up the land.

Police investigating a fatal stabbing at a Gloucester hairdressers have recovered a knife, which they believe was the murder weapon. Hollie Gazzard (20) died after being attacked at Fringe Benefits in Southgate Street at around 18:00 on Tuesday.

Job Losses Loom As Another RBS Closure Announced
According to Unite union nearly 500 jobs will be lost when the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) closes its site at Bristol. The closure,which will see 440 staff lose their jobs, comes as part of the cuts announced last year when the bank revealed that up to 3,000 jobs would be lost.

£50m Development For Former Glasgow Hospital Site
A £50m development has been planned for the 40-acre site of the former Ruchill Hospital in Glasgow. FSA Study Finds People Risking Health To Save Money On Food
A new Food Standards Agency survey suggests that people are taking more risks with their food as finances become tighter. Its survey of nearly 2,000 people across the UK suggested that people were trying to save money by making their food go further and that more than half were trying to make better use of leftover food.
