Police Hunt Burglar Who Threatened 15-Month-Old Baby
Police are hunting for a man and woman who burgled a west London house after threatening a 15-month-old baby with a knife.
It is understood that a man posing as a metre reader was allowed into the home of a 31-year-old woman in Harlington Road in Uxbridge.
Once inside the man produced a knife and held it up to the woman's 15-month-old daughter and asked where the gold was.
The woman was then bound at the wrists and ankles and put in the bathroom along with her child. Police say that the man was then joined by a female accomplice. The pair then searched the home before making off with jewellery.
Police have appealed for anyone who say a man in a high-visibility jacket in the Uxbridge area at about 17:00 on Friday 31 October, to contact them.
The man is said to have been wearing a blue-coloured fleece with a short sleeved high-visibility jacket, dark trousers, black shoes and a woolly hat.
There is no description of the female, as the victim heard her but did not see her.
According to reports the mother and child were found in the bathroom by neighbours, almost an hour after the burglars had left.
