Campaigners Occupy Former Town Hall
A campaign group has taken occupation of a former town hall and magistrates court in Stoke-on-Trent.
Around 30 members of the group Save Fenton Town Hall are occupying the building in protest over a Ministry of Justice (MoJ) plan to sell the building.
The group claim the sale would put a World War One memorial, built into a wall in the building, at risk of being destroyed.
However, the government has said a "legal covenant" requires any buyer to preserve the memorial.
The group said they want the building to preserved and given over for community use.
