Search Underway Off Brighton Coast For Missing Yachtsman
A major search operation has been launched off the coast of Brighton after a yacht drifted back into the marina with no-one on board.
Two helicopters and three lifeboats began searching for the owner of the yacht at about 22:00 on Sunday.
It is understood that a man, believed to be the yacht owner, has been reported missing after he failed to return home, however, his identity has not been confirmed by authorities.
Authorities say the Sunseeker yacht is believed to have been on autopilot when it returned to the marina in Brighton, where it crashed into a wall.
Electrical storms are said to have limited the overnight search but rescuers resumed their operations at first light.
