Care Home 'Completely Without Power' After Circuit Fault
Up to 50 residents of a care home in Dumfries might need to be re-housed after an internal circuit fault has left the facility without power.
It is understood the Allanbank home has been completely without power since Sunday night.
Efforts are being made to establish a temporary electricity supply at the home as it is believed that it could take up to three days to find and fix the fault on an internal circuit.
The local NHS Trust is working with Dumfries and Galloway Council on a contingency plan should the 50 residents currently being cared for at the home need to be relocated.
The home is said to have drafted in extra staff to make sure residents are "warm, safe and comfortable".
