Gary Glitter Denies Sex Offences Charges
Gary Glitter has denied 10 charges of sex offences against three girls in the 1970s and early 80s.
Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court in London.
It is understood the charges include six counts of indecent assault and one charge of unlawful intercourse.
The 70-year-old former pop star is currently on police bail.

Gary Glitter Sentenced To 16 Years
Paul Gadd, better known by his stage name, Gary Glitter, has been sentenced to 16 years in jail for the sexual abuse of three girls between 1975 and 1980. Gadd was convicted of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one of having sex with a girl under 13.

New measures to curb sex tourism revealed
Registered sex offenders who travel abroad will have to notify the police if they plan to be away for three days or more, under new measure designed to tighten laws governing sex offenders. The government's Sexual Offences Bill today which will also see sex offenders required to give the police seven days notice of their intention to travel.

Primary Teacher Charge With Sex Offences
A teacher in charge of very young children has been charged with 19 sex offences. Fifty-five-year-old David Thorley, Head of Pembroke Dock Community School in Pembrokeshire, is alleged to have committed the offences between 2003 and 2007 in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. It is understood the charges relate to "sexual touching of children".

Former glam rock singer Gary Glitter has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register after arriving back in Britain. Glitter was met at Heathrow Airport by a media scrum as well as police officers from the anti-paedophile Operation Jigsaw. The convicted sex offender, spent three years in a Vietnamese jail for abusing two girls aged 10 and 11.
