Pair To Appear In Court Over Knife Attack
Two people are to appear in court today following an attack on a man who was stabbed outside a primary school in Manchester.
Barry Parkes and Natalie Lawton have been charged in connection with the alleged attack, which occurred when parents were waiting to collect their children from the school on Friday afternoon.
Steven Higginson, 33, and a father of six, was stabbed in the chest and side.
He has since been discharged from hospital.

Sixth teen charged with stab murder
A 13-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of east London teenager Paul Erhahon - the sixth person to be charged in connection with the case. The youth, who was arrested in east London on Wednesday, has also been charged with the attempted murder of Paul's 15-year-old friend who was also stabbed in the attack.

Following an investigation lasting more than two years, the OFT found that pupils’ parents ended up paying higher fees as a result of the information-sharing.

Killer Jailed For 'Unprovoked' Stab Attack
A 38-year-old who stabbed a man to death in an unprovoked attack has today been jailed for a minimum of 17 years. At the High Court in Glasgow, Jason McCrimmon, 38, was found guilty of murdering 42-year-old William Quinn. He had knifed him through the heart at Rochsoles Drive, in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, in June 2007.

A 16-year-old boy is to appear in court later today, Friday, charged with the death of another teenager at a school in Aberdeen. Bailey Gwynne, 16, died after he was stabbed at Cults Academy on 28 October. The suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court. In a statement, his family said: "There are no words.
