Three Charged Over 2012 Death Of Man In Police Custody
A police officer and two civilian police employees have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Thomas Orchard, who died a week after collapsing while in police custody.
Mr Orchard (32) was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence on 03 October 2012 and taken to Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter. About an hour after he arrived at the station, Mr Orchard collapsed and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
He died seven days later.
Sgt Jan Kingshott and civilian detention officers Simon Tansley and Michael Marsden are to face charges of manslaughter in connection with Mr Orchard's death. They are due to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on 29 January.

A man charged in connection with an explosion at an Exeter shopping mall has appeared in court. Nicky Reilly, 22, of Plymouth, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Belmarsh Prison under the name Mohamed Saeed-Alim. Mr Reilly has been charged with three offences in connection with the incident at Giraffe restaurant on May 22.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Teenage Girl Arrested Over Body Find
A girl and a 41-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after two bodies were discovered in Suffolk. Suffolk Police said that the first body was found yesterday morning at around 11am after a member of the public called police to express concern for the welfare of a woman in a flat at Victoria Street.
