Strong Winds Expected Across England And Scotland
The Met Office has issued amber warnings for northern Scotland on Thursday and Friday.
A yellow weather warning has also been issued for the rest of Scotland and north England.
It also warns of high winds from Thursday to Saturday.
Strong winds of up to 70mph are expected across the countries.
The severe winds and weather could also include rain and snow.

Second Weather Warning Issued For England
The Met Office has issued a new weather warning for areas of England as 20mm of rain is expected to fall in the coming hours. It added that the conditions will bring a risk of damage and disruption from "potentially intense thundery downpours".

Storm warning for the UK
The UK is expected to be hit by heavy rain and strong winds on Thursday night, as the remnants of Hurricane Gordon reach the country. The Met Office is forecasting very windy weather on Thursday night, particularly across south western areas of England. Gales are expected in places, with gusts of wind possibly reaching 70 to 80 mph.

Man dies as severe weather hits Britain
A man has been killed as Britain continues to be battered by severe weather. It is believed that the man died when a tree fell on his car as he drove through the village of Britty Common, near Wellington in Somerset on Thursday morning. Heavy rain and winds have continued to affect many parts of the UK and are expected to last throughout the day.

Severe weather warnings have been issued in Scotland following heaving rain and gale force winds, with more of the same weather predicted today. The Met Office says that as much as four centimetres of rain could fall across Scotland, while gales of 60mph-70mph are forecast.
