BP Announce North Sea Job Cuts
Two hundred jobs and 100 contractor roles are to be cut from BP's North Sea operations, the oil company has announced.
According to reports, a "small number" of compulsory redundancies are expected, with the majority of the cuts to be in onshore roles.
It follows an announcement in December of "major restructuring" by the firm, which currently employs some 3,500 people in the North Sea and a further 11,000 across the UK.
The company said that it is responding to "toughening market conditions".
