EDF Announce Price Cuts
EDF Energy is to cut its gas prices by 1.3%, effective from 11 February.
The reduction will decrease EDF Energy's average standard variable gas prices from £646 to £637 a year and its dual fuel prices from £1,164 to £1,155.
The cut will benefit around one million customers.
Beatrice Bigois, Managing Director of Customers at EDF Energy, said: "EDF Energy has a strong track record of acting independently in the interests of customers who have benefitted from the best standard variable prices for the majority of the last three years, in comparison to other major suppliers.
"The price cut means our standard tariffs will continue to be among the most competitive in the market. At the same time, one and a half million customers are benefitting from fixed price deals with no exit fees."
