Sky To Launch New Mobile Phone Service
A new mobile phone service is to be launched by pay-TV company Sky in partnership Telefonica, O2's Spanish parent company.
Sky, adding mobile to its internet, landline and TV, will use Telefonica UK's wireless network to offer the new service.
Sky said it is making the move to advance the company in "quad play", which is believed to be next growth area for telecoms companies and broadcasters.

A UK teenager has sold an app he created to Yahoo for an undisclosed sum, thought to be “dozens of millions”. 17-year-old Nick D’Aloisio created the app Summly, which summarizes news stories from popular media companies. He launched the app when he was just 15 and soon attracted more than £1m of investment.

May launch date set for Sky HD TV
Sky has moved closer to the launch of its high definition television service with the announcement of pricing details and confirmation that the first installations of Sky HD are scheduled to begin in May 2006. Customers will pay £299 for the Sky HD box and a Sky HD subscription of £10 a month in addition to their Sky digital subscription.

Bangladesh Court Orders Parents To Release Daughter
An NHS doctor who was allegedly held captive by her family in Bangladesh is due to arrive home in the UK later. The parents of Dr Humayra Abedin, a 33-year-old trainee GP, were ordered to give her back her passport, after intervention by the courts and the British Foreign Office.
