11-Year-Old Killed By Bus In Newcastle

An 11-year-old boy has died after being hit by a bus in Newcastle.

Police reported that the accident happened at about 15:30 on Wednesday at Whickham View, near the junction with Broadmead Way.

It is understood the boy was on foot when he was hit by a Stagecoach bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident is underway.
