Teenager Arrested By Terrorism Police Released Without Charge

A 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism has been arrested without charge.

The girl was arrested alongside a 16-year-old boy, by officers from the North West Counter Terrorism Unit on Monday.

The boy remains in custody but the girl has been released and no further action will be taken against her, police said.

Commonwealth Games Gold Medal Stolen In Burglary

Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Kelly Sotherton has had her medal stolen during a burglary at her home in Sutton Coalfield, West Midlands.

Police confirmed they are investigating a burglary at the athlete's home, in which the medal, a laptop and money were stolen.

Prince William To Take Up Air Ambulance Role In Summer

Prince William will begin his new role of flying an air ambulance this summer.

It was announced last year that he would be joining the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

It comes after he retired as an RAF search and rescue pilot in September 2013.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Fifth day sees British Olympic medal tally grow
High hopes of a medal in the women's archery competition came good today with Alison Williamson winning bronze by a one point margin over China's Shun Chi Yuan in the semi-final of the 70m competition. The 32-year-old schoolteacher from Shropshire held steady in a shoot-out that was tied at 97-all.

Girl arrested over stolen bus
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after a stolen bus crashed into 16 parked cars in Stockport in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Greater Manchester Police said that they received a report of a series of road traffic collisions involving a bus in the Reddish area, around 1am on Tuesday morning.

Op Trazer 'Dismantles Criminal Networks'
