Police Officer Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder
A 49-year-old police officer has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife.
It is understood that the suspect is a serving officer in Northamptonshire.
He was arrested at his home in Wootton Hall Park on Thursday at about 13:00, following reports of "an incident".
The couple are said to have lived in police housing, on the site of Northamptonshire Police headquarters.
A statement from police said that the investigation team "will not include anyone from Northamptonshire Police."
No details were released about the victim, but a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today.

Katie Kelly and her daughter were last seen in the Daventry area and police are concerned for their safety. Katie is described at 5' 7'', slim build, long, dark brown, straight hair and green eyes.
