Business Leaders Show Support For Conservatives
More than 100 business leaders in the UK have signed a letter to show their support for the Conservative's economic policies as part of their election manifesto.
Those who signed the letter to The Telegraph, said the party's economic policies showed "the UK is open for business". They also supported a reduction in corporation tax, from 21% to 20% and warned that "a change in course will threaten jobs and deter investment" and "put the recovery at risk."
Among those to sign the letter in a personal capacity were Duncan Bannatyne, Baroness Karren Brady and BP chief executive Bob Dudley.
The Conservatives have described the pre-election endorsement from the business leaders as "unprecedented", but Labour has criticised the move, saying it was "organised" by the party and it was "no surprise" that the bosses wanted to lower taxes.
It comes as Labour promised new rights for those on "zero-hours" contracts.
