The Who To Headline At Glastonbury
The Who are to headline the Glastonbury Festival on Sunday 28 June 28.
Roger Daltrey said: "It's great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world. We'll do our best to close this years event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!"
The Who will take to the Great Oak Stage in London's Hyde Park for the fourth time on Friday 26 June with special guests Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs, Johnny Marr, Gaz Coombes, Sleaford Mods and Vintage Trouble.

Figures Show A Rise In Retail Sales
Sales in the retail industry increased by 3.6% compared to June 2013 according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The quantity bought also increased by 4.5% compare to the same time last year. In June 2014, all retail sectors showed estimated rises in the quantity bought year-on-year.

Pair Jailed For Smash And Grab
Two men have been jailed at Southwark Crown Court for a 'smash and grab' robbery at a jewellers in Kilburn Lane, west London. Jake Maunders, 20, of Tollbridge Close and Alex Rogers, 20 of Sutton Way, pleaded guilty to the robbery at Ishtar Jewellers in Kilburn Lane.

Briton Jailed In US For Child Sex Offences
A 47-year-old British man has been jailed in the US after admitting child sex offences. Richard Castle, of Northampton, was jailed for 16 years after he admitting to coercing a minor, travelling with intent to engage in illicit sexual contact with a minor and transferring obscene sexual contact to the same minor.

Bulger's Mother Receives Abuse On Twitter
Denise Fergus, the mother of toddler James Bulger, who was killed in 1993 has been subjected to abuse on Twitter about her son's murder. Users of the site reacted furiously over a chain of tweets that were sent from an account named Jon Venables, which uses the username @SirVenables. It has now been disabled.
