First All-Tory Cabinet In 18 Years To Meet
The first all-Tory cabinet in 18 years is to meet today following the Conservative Party's general election victory last week.
The party won a 12 seat majority in the House of Commons, taking 331 seats out of 650.
A number of new cabinet appointments will meet today following a post-election re-shuffle, including new Energy and Climate Change Secretary, Amber Rudd, new Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Greg Hands, new Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, John Whittingdale and Sajid Javid as new Business Secretary.
The Prime Minister is to urge minister to "give everyone in our country the chance to make the most of their life".

Health Gets New Permanent Secretary
The Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service, Sir Gus O'Donnell, is pleased to announce the appointment of Una O’Brien as the new Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health. Una was chosen following a national open competition and is currently the Director General, Policy and Strategy, at the Department.

Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy has announced a shake-up of his frontbench team. The party's leader said today he was "delighted to confirm the revised set of appointments," which will take now take the party forward to the next General Election. The reshuffle has seen the Lib Dem Shadow Cabinet reduced from 29 to 25 posts.

Just 18% of TV presenters are woman over the age of 50, new figures have revealed. Of 481 on-air presenters who regularly appear on BBC television and radio, Sky, ITN and Channel 5, just 26 of them are woman over 50.
