O2 Service Returns To Normal After Network Signal Issues
Phone service provider O2 has stated its network has "returned to normal" following complaints of reception problems across the UK.
Customers in England and Northern Ireland experienced problems with signal and mobile internet signal yesterday 25 May.
Many users were unable to send or receive text messages and phone calls while some customers reported problems with the 3G internet signal.
Business Secretary Sajid Javid was amongst those affected by the issue, writing on Twitter asking O2 to "sort it out".
A spokesperson for the company said it could confirm the service had returned to normal shortly after 11.30pm on 25 May.
The statement said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to those customers affected and we will now begin a full investigation to identify the root cause."

Investigation As Soldier Dies In Afghan Base
The Ministry of Defence has reported the death of a soldier at a base in Afghanistan on Tuesday. The soldier, from 200 Signal Squadron, was at an ISAF patrol base in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province. It is believed he died of a gunshot wound, and investigators are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

A planned walk-out by signal workers has been called off, averting rail strikes that would have caused chaos throughout the rail network. Thousands of signal workers had indicated plans for either a day-long strike on Friday 21 June or a 48-hour walkout the next week, over a dispute involving working hours and pay rises.

The mother of a schoolgirl at the centre of an international custody dispute has dropped her claim for full custody, it has been revealed. Louise Campbell had been fighting for custody of her daughter Molly Campbell, now known as Misbah Rana, who left her home in Scotland last year to live with her father in Pakistan.
