Police Officers Injured In Moped Incident
Two police officers are being treated in hospital after being hit by a suspected stolen moped in Lewisham.
According to reports a female officer suffered a broken collar bone, and a male police officer suffered an ankle injury in the incident at about 23:30 on Monday night.
It is understood that the officers had been attempting to speak to two suspects, both on mopeds, outside the Glass Mill Leisure Centre, when one of them hit the officers as he tried to flee the scene.
The two suspects, aged 16 and 20, were arrested a short time later.

The Queen has unveiled a National Police Memorial in tribute to British police officers killed in the line of duty. The £2.3 million project includes a large black wall with a glass cabinet displaying a book which names 1,600 police officers who have died in the line of duty.

Community police officer remains critically ill
A police community support officer remains in a critical condition in a Greater Manchester hospital after being stabbed in the neck. Greater Manchester Police said that Gary Etchells, 47, had twice undergone surgery at Tameside General Hospital and was now back in intensive care.

Car Chase Man Jailed For Assaulting Police
A man has been sentenced to three years after threatening and assaulting police officers after a high-speed car chase. Keith Smith, 38, of Firbank Road, was found guilty of making threats to kill, assault causing actual bodily harm, dangerous driving and two charges of common assault, at Manchester Square Crown Court.
