Man Jailed For Knife Attack On Woman And Teenager
A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing a woman and teenage boy in September last year on the opening day of his trial at Maidstone Crown Court.
53-year-old Paul Gevaux has been jailed for 12 years after pleading guilty to two counts of wounding, one with intent, on Monday 22 June.
A 39-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy both suffered serious stab wounds in an incident on Monday 15 September, 2014.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Dave Bull said: "Paul Gevaux had produced a large kitchen knife and had stabbed the woman once in her right shoulder, using so much force that it caused an exit wound at the back.
"He then threatened a 16-year-old boy who was also in the house. During a scuffle Gevaux struck the boy in the right side of his chest with the knife. The boy fell to the floor and Gevaux continued to stab him four or five more times."
The court gave Gevaux a discount for pleading guilty and the sentence was reduced to nine-and-a-half years.
