Brighton Bus Crash Is 'Major Incident'
Five people have been seriously injured after two buses collided in central Brighton.
The accident happened shortly after 9.20am on Monday (6 July) at Queen's Road, near the Clock Tower in the town.
Emergency services are at the scene and have described it as a "major incident".
Two people are said to have sustained "life-threatening" injuries, and a further three have been left with serious injuries. A number of others have sustained minor injuries and a walk-in centre has been established at the top of Queen's Road for the 'walking wounded', Sussex Police has said.
Drivers have been asked to avoid the city centre for the next few hours while emergency services attend the scene and the injured receive treatment.

Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Road Accident
North Wales Police have appealed for witnesses to a serious road accident on Sunday. A woman has been left with "significant injuries" after two vehicles crashed on the B4421 between Newborough and Llangaffo at about 20:00 on Sunday. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number, 101.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder In Kent
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Kent. At around 7.15pm on Tuesday (19 May), police were called to a property in Hectorage Road, Tonbridge. Two men, aged 34 and 54, had sustained injuries which police believed to be knife wounds. The 54-year-old victim died at the scene. The 34-year-old was taken to hospital.

Police and other emergency services are dealing with a fatal collision involving a coach in the Looe area this afternoon, Tuesday 13 May. At around 1pm police officers were called to the A387 at Morval, around three miles from Looe, to reports that a coach had collided with a wall.

Westminster tops road accident table
More people are killed or seriously injured on roads in Westminster than anywhere else in England, according to a new report. The study, by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, found that for every 100,000 people in the London borough, 176 were killed or seriously injured in road accidents in 2003/4, while 1,114 people suffered slight injuries.
