Man Rescued After 80ft Ditch Fall
A man is in an unknown condition in hospital after falling more than 80ft down a ditch in Dorset.
It is understood that the man fell when his tractor overturned late on Monday night.
Rescuers, including specialist fire and paramedic crews, worked for several hours to bring the man up from the ditch.
Woman Rescued From Flat Fire
An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at a flat in Belvedere Road, Upper Norwood, on Monday night.
Firefighters rescued a woman from the flat after responding to reports of a fire just after 22:00.
Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from West Norwood and Woodside fire Stations attended the incident.
Man Dies Trying To Jump On Eurotunnel Train
A man has died after allegedly trying to jump onto a freight train leaving France en route to England.
Eurotunnel said that the shuttle had been stopped following the incident on the French side at about 05:00 on Tuesday.
An investigation into the exact circumstances of the man's death has been launched.
The death comes days after some 150 migrants tried to storm the Channel Tunnel terminal in France.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Appeal After Man Found In Burning Car
Police are appealing for information concerning the death of a man found in a burning car. Officers were called to reports of a car on fire at Mowlem Trading Estate, near to Leeside Road, N17, shortly after 1:00am on 17 December 2008. The London Fire Brigade were in attendance extinguishing the fire when they discovered a person inside.

Man Rescued From Hostel Fire
Firefighters have rescued a man trapped by a fire at a hostel in St Pancras. Emergency services were called to Birkenhead Street on Tuesday afternoon to reports of a fire on the first floor of the hostel. Fifteen people had escaped the building before firefighters arrived, however one person was unaccounted for.

A man has been rescued from a house fire in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. At around 2.43am in Monday morning, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a property on High Street in the area following reports of a fire.
