Barrymore Suing Police Over 2001 Arrest
Michael Barrymore, the former TV presenter, is to sue Essex Police over his arrest in 2001.
Mr Barrymore was arrested when Stuart Lubbock (31) was found dead floating in his swimming pool in March 2001.
According to a report by the BBC, Mr Barrymore is suing the force for damages to his reputation and career.
Police Renew Appeal For Missing Couple
Police in Scotland have issued a fresh appeal for information on the whereabouts of 28-year-old John Yuill and 25-year-old Lamara Bell.
It is understood that the couple were seen on the south shore of the loch in the early hours of Sunday 5 July.
It is believed that the drove away in a blue Renault Clio.
Lamara is described as white woman with long purple hair and brown eyes. She is around 5' 4" in height. When last seen she was wearing a blue hooded top with a striped t-shirt underneath, blue tracksuit bottoms and white and pink trainers.
John is described as white man with short black hair. He is around 6'1" in height. He was last seen wearing grey jogging trousers, a black zipped hooded top and white trainers.
More Than 100 Jobs At Risk As No Buyer Is Found For Turbine Factory
More than 100 jobs are at risk at a wind farm components factory in Monmouthshire.
The Mabey Group has been seeking a buyer for the Chepstow-based factory since December, but it is understood that no options have been identified and the site has been marked for closure in September.
The Mabey Group said that a 45-day consultation with affected staff is now under way.

Barrymore Not Facing Charges
Entertainer Michael Barrymore will not face charges over the death of Stuart Lubbock, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Essex CPS said in a statement it had advised the police that no one should be charged over Mr Lubbock's death.

Barrymore released without charge
Entertainer Michael Barrymore has been released without charge following his arrest in connection with the death of Stuart Lubbock. Mr Barrymore, 55, was arrested along with two other men - Jonathan Kenny, 37, and 32-year-old Justin Merritt - last Thursday on suspicion of murder and sexual assault.

Former police officers arrested in Lynette White murder case
Five retired police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a Cardiff prostitute 17 years ago, South Wales police have confirmed. Twenty-year-old Lynette White was found murdered in a flat in the Butetown area of Cardiff on Valentine’s Day, 1988.

Man Sent Back To Jail After 16 Years On The Run
A man who absconded from an open prison in Chichester in July 1999 has been recaptured and returned to prison. Spencer White, now 39, from the Witterings area of Chichester, absconded from Ford Prison 16 years ago, after being sentenced to three years for kidnapping an adult. Police stopped White at Lanzarote airport on September 19.
