78-Year-Old Charged With Abuse Of Three Boys
A 78-year-old man has been charged with sex offences against three boys between 1979 and 1987.
Gordon Anglesea, of Old Colwyn, North Wales, was arrested by officers from Operation Pallial in December 2013.
He has now been charged with five offences of sexual assault and two offences of buggery. His alleged crimes involved three boys aged between 11 and 16 at the time.
Anglesea has been released on conditional bail to appear before Mold Magistrates Court on 06 August, 2015.
Operation Pallial is an independent NCA investigation into recent allegations of past sexual abuse in the care system in North Wales, being delivered by the NCA at the request of Mark Polin, the Chief Constable of North Wales Police.

More teenagers charged with boy's murder
Two more teenage boys have been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Paul Erhahon. Scotland Yard has said the pair will appear at Waltham Forest Youth Court later. 14-year-old Paul died after being stabbed outside flats in Leytonstone, east London, a week ago.

An armed standoff in the village of Cynwyd, North Wales, has ended with the arrest of a man. North West Police called armed officers and negotiators to the village at 21:45 on Wednesday after a man aged in his 20s had barricaded himself in a house and threatened police with a firearm.
