Police Renew Appeal For Information On River Baby Find

Police have renewed an appeal for information on the discovery of a baby's body in the River Taff in Cardiff on 23 June.

Detectives investigating the discovery has released images of a bed sheet and towel that the child had been wrapped in.

Police also appealed again for the baby's mother to come forward.

Sic British Tourists Arrested In China Deported

Six British tourists are to be deported from China, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

According to reports, the six were detained along with five others on 10 July in Ordos in Inner Mongolia.

It is understood that they were arrested on suspicion of "committing crimes".

Three other Britons and two dual British-South African nationals remain in custody and the Foreign Office said it had requested an explanation for their detention.

Suspected Stowaway Death Still Unidentified

The Metropolitan Police have not yet been able to identify the body of a man found on a factory roof last month, believed to have fallen while a stowaway on a commercial flight.

The body was found on a rooftop in Richmond on 18 June. Police believe that the man may have fallen from a British Airways flight.

A second stowaway was found in the undercarriage of the plane with it landed. He remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Third Body Found In Arson Attack Mansion
A third body has been found in the burnt-out mansion of a millionaire businessman. Christopher Foster, 50, his wife Jill, 49, and their 15-year-old daughter Kirstie had not been seen since the arson attack last Tuesday at Osbaston House, a large country estate in Shropshire. West Mercia Police are treating the case as a murder inquiry.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

UK Troops Get Boost To Personal Protection
British troops fighting in the frontline are to receive new body armour and helmets this autumn, it has been announced. Over 10,000 sets of the enhanced Mark 7 helmet and the Osprey Assault body armour have been ordered from companies across the UK, under initial contracts worth around £16 million.

Body Of Newborn Found At Rubbish Dump
West Yorkshire Police have reported that the body of a newborn baby has been found at a rubbish dump. Staff at the Valley Road waste site in Shipley found the body on Wednesday night. This is the second time a baby's body has been found at the site, following the discovery of a newborn girl in 2011.
