Seven-Week-Old Baby Hospitalised Following Shopping Centre Incident
A seven-week-old baby has been hospitalised after an incident at a shopping centre in Hartlepool.
The baby was being pushed in his pram through Middleton Grange Shopping Centre when a large cup of soda containing cola and ice cubes landed in the pram, hitting the baby.
The parents took him to the University Hospital of North Tees where he was kept overnight for observation.
He did not receive any long lasting injury and was released from hospital.
Police are appealing for information.
Teenager Admits Involvement In Terror Plot
A 15-year-old teenager has admitted being involved in a terror plot in Australia.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, sent thousands of instant messages over a 10 day period to 18-year-old Sevdet Besim,
In one message, the boy suggested Besim break into someone's house and get his 'first taste of beheading'.
Besim shared the teenagers support for the Islamic State militant group Isis.
The teenager will be sentenced in Manchester on 3 September.
Man Dies After Tadcaster Sewage Works Accident
A man has died after suffering severe burns in an industrial accident at a sewage treatment works.
Mick Jennings, 55, was airlifted to hospital following the incident at Oxton Lane in Tadcaster on 21 July.
A joint investigation has been launched by the Health and Safety Executive with the fire service.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

Pregnant Woman Attacked In Essex
A pregnant woman has been attacked with a baseball bat and a knife at her home in Basildon, Essex. The 22-year-old woman, who was in labour, was getting ready to leave her home with her partner to go to the hospital when a gang raided her home. She was hit with a baseball bat and slashed with a knife.

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's dead body and four injured children. According to police the body of a woman (37) was found in a house on Reinwood Road, Lindley, Huddersfield.

Fatal Infection Closes Baby Ward
A neo-natal unit at a Greater Manchester Hospital has been temporarily closed after a baby died and another suffered from a potentially deadly infection. The premature baby died in December at the Salford Royal Hospital after having developed an infection from Aspergillus, a common airborne fungus and died.
