Passenger Train Derails After Colliding With Cows
A passenger train has been derailed after it collided with a herd of cows on the line in Kent.
It is understood two carriages were derailed at the incident near Chilham station after 9:30pm on 26 July.
Emergency services attended the scene and there were no reports of casualties.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said 72 passengers were safely escorted from the train and into the local village hall.
Southeastern Trains tweeted buses will now replace the service between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury all day today 27 July.

Ronnie Biggs has been formally released from prison today on compassionate grounds. Justice Secretary Jack Straw yesterday approved the Great Train Robber's release. Biggs - who turns 80 tomorrow - is severely ill with pneumonia was told he is unlikely to recover.

Infamous train robber, Ronnie Biggs, could be freed from jail in a year, his lawyer has said. Biggs, 78, was sentenced to 30 years for the 1963 robbery, but escaped Wandsworth prison by scaling a rope ladder, after 15 months.

Engineering firm pleads guilty to Hatfield safety breach
Engineering firm Balfour Beattie has pleaded guilty to the charge that it breached safety standards before the Hatfield train disaster, in which four people died. The change of plea comes after the company, and five of its managers, were cleared of corporate manslaughter charges last week.

Rail passengers on the West Coast line are experiencing major delays after a freight train derailed on the West Coast main line at Bletchley. No services are now running between London Euston and Milton Keynes. There are also major delays for rail passengers with London Midland, Southern and Virgin rail services all affected.
