Murder Investigation Launched Into York Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a property in York on Monday night.
It is understood that police where called to reports of a disturbance on Hamilton Drive at about 22:20. Police discovered a man suffering serious stab wounds.
Police said that they are still trying to establish the victims identity and his connection to the property.
A second man, aged 29, who was found injured in the street by a member of the public, was treated in hospital and discharged in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A third man, aged 19, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He suffered a self-inflicted injury and is receiving hospital treatment.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Walker said: "The incident has caused concern to local people but I would like to offer some reassurance to them that the suspect was quickly arrested at the scene and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Our enquiries remain ongoing today and there will be a police presence in the area while we continue to investigate and gather evidence from the scene.
"Our thanks go to local people who have been affected, for their patience and understanding while we deal with the incident. In particular, I would like to express our thanks to the member of the public who came to the aid of one of the victims.
"Anyone who witnessed anything of the incident or has any other information that could help our investigation, I urge you to get in touch."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

South Wales Police are searching for a number of people in connection with a daytime attack on a 19-year-old man in a park in Cardiff. Police said the victim is in a critical condition in hospital following the attack, which happened on Monday at about 13:45 at Tremorfa park, Cardiff. It is understood the incident involved around 20 people.
